Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PreflightX at https://preflightx.io, operated by ContentHub s.r.o. ("Company", "PreflightX", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our company details appear below.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account to the extent permitted by law.

2. The Service and plans

PreflightX provides URL security scanning, grades and security scores, findings with plain-language explanations, scan history and scan-to-scan verification. Depending on your plan, it also provides exact finding locations, technical evidence, remediation guidance and AI-ready repair prompts.

• Free: all finding titles, severities and plain-language explanations, security score, saved scan history for registered users, and two lifetime Free verifications per registered account. This allowance does not reset monthly.
• Pro: exact finding locations, technical evidence, step-by-step remediation, AI repair prompts and unlimited verification, subject to the Acceptable Use Policy and service-protection limits.

Founder's Lifetime. Pro is currently offered as a one-time purchase of $99 USD ("Founder's Lifetime"), limited to the first 100 completed purchases. There is no subscription and no renewal. Founder's Lifetime gives the purchasing account access to the Pro features described above for as long as PreflightX offers Pro, subject to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and service-protection (fair-use) limits. It is personal to the purchasing account and does not include separate products or services we may offer in the future. If other plans, such as a subscription, are offered later, their price, billing interval and applicable taxes will be shown before purchase.

3. Authorization to scan

You may scan only systems you own or have explicit authorization to test. By submitting a URL, domain or other target, you represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights and authorization for the requested testing. Your authorization must cover the target, method and scope of the scan, including relevant third-party infrastructure. A publicly accessible target is not, by itself, permission to scan it.

You must comply with applicable computer misuse, cybersecurity, privacy and other laws. Unauthorized vulnerability scanning, unauthorized access, exploitation, bypassing access controls, disruption and misuse of findings are prohibited. Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms.

4. Results, limitations and remediation

The current URL scanner makes read-only requests to publicly accessible resources and does not intentionally modify target applications. Results are informational, can be incomplete and may contain false positives or false negatives. A favorable grade or score does not guarantee complete security or the absence of vulnerabilities. The Service is not a substitute for comprehensive professional penetration testing where appropriate.

Remediation guidance and AI-ready repair prompts may be incorrect or unsuitable for your environment. You must review proposed changes, assess their consequences and test them before deployment. You remain responsible for your systems, backups, remediation decisions and any use of findings.

5. Payments, subscriptions and taxes

Payments are processed through Stripe; ContentHub s.r.o. is the seller. Founder's Lifetime is charged once, at checkout. There are no recurring charges and nothing to cancel. If we stop offering Pro, we will give reasonable notice and any remedy required by law.

If a subscription is offered, it renews automatically at the billing interval and price disclosed at checkout until cancelled, and you authorize recurring charges for it. We will give any legally required notice of price changes before they apply to a renewal. You may cancel a subscription at any time. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, cancellation stops future renewals and paid access continues until the end of the current paid billing period, after which your account returns to Free.

Our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee is in addition to, and does not replace, any statutory withdrawal, refund, cancellation, or consumer-protection rights available to you under applicable law.

Applicable taxes will be disclosed at checkout and included in or added to the price as required by law. You are responsible for taxes legally payable by you. Nothing in these Terms or our voluntary guarantee limits mandatory statutory consumer rights.

6. Your data and submitted targets

You retain your rights in the information and materials you submit. You give us only the limited rights needed to process submitted targets and related data to perform scans, generate reports, provide history and comparisons, and protect the Service against security threats and abuse. This permission does not grant ownership of your systems or data to PreflightX.

You must have the rights needed to submit the target and related information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information.

7. Intellectual property

The Service's software, design, branding and other materials are owned by ContentHub s.r.o. or its licensors and protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, you may use the Service and your reports for lawful, authorized security review and remediation. No other ownership or license is granted. You must not misuse our marks or infringe others' intellectual property rights.

8. Third-party services and availability

The Service relies on third-party hosting and authentication services and on Stripe payment services. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party systems outside our control, subject to applicable law.

We may maintain, update or change the Service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every target, or that every scan will complete. For material changes affecting paid access, we will provide notice and any remedies required by law.

9. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its results are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that use of the Service will prevent an incident or identify every vulnerability. These disclaimers do not exclude statutory guarantees or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost business or lost data arising from use of or inability to use the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months or $100 USD.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and do not restrict mandatory consumer rights, remedies or statutory guarantees.

11. Your responsibility and indemnification

You are responsible for unauthorized scans, legal violations, misuse of findings, or targets submitted without the necessary rights. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify the Company against third-party claims, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from those actions. This obligation does not cover losses caused by our own unlawful conduct or impose obligations prohibited by mandatory consumer law.

12. Suspension and termination

We may restrict scans, suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a Terms or Acceptable Use Policy violation, unauthorized security testing, fraud, abuse, non-payment, security threats or legal requirements. Where lawful and practicable, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. Urgent security or legal circumstances may require immediate action.

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion by contacting us. Cancellation, refund and statutory rights remain governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable law. Provisions intended to survive termination, including appropriate liability, intellectual property and dispute provisions, continue to apply.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer, you retain the mandatory protections available under the laws of your country of residence and any mandatory rights concerning which courts may hear a dispute. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights.

14. Changes and general provisions

We may update these Terms and will revise the date above. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes and any additional notice or consent required by law. Changes will not remove accrued statutory rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver of it.
